Budget Friendly Room Refresh with Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart

This post is sponsored by Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart!  I am so excited to be a part of the BHG Live Better influencer network and look forward to sharing ideas, updates to my home and their affordable products with you! All opinions are my own.

Since moving into my home a few years ago, my guest bedroom has pretty much been neglected.  I have stuck with the same bedding I had in my old house and while there was nothing wrong with it, it was definitely time for an update. Here is the room before...

The start of f
all kicks off the start of the holiday season and with that, I wanted to make sure my guest room was prepped for guests!  With the help of a few new finds from the Better Homes & Gardens line from Walmart, I was able to pull off a quick and inexpensive update!

After rearranging the room, I was ready to shop! First up was new bedding!  I kept it simple with this gorgeous, white tufted duvet cover set.  I love the texture it adds to the space.  The quality is amazing especially given the very reasonable price!

While searching the Better Homes & Gardens pillow collection, I found this pretty pom pillow and knew it would coordinate perfectly with the duvet set.

I absolutely love the bedding and highly recommend it if you are in the market for new bedding.  It can be styled in so many different ways and can be switched up just by swapping out accent pillows and throws!

Speaking of throws, the charming buffalo check was the perfect choice to balance out my black metal bed and add a touch of bold pattern to the room.  This throw is so soft and cozy and I knew it would be great for guests to snuggle up with!

My new bedding changed the whole look of the room for under $100.  I love that Better Homes & Gardens has made decorating so affordable!

Since my space is small, I took the "less is more" approach with accessories and other furniture.  The side table/desk was a DIY project I completed a few years ago after I came across the metal table base at a thrift store.  I painted and distressed 3 wood boards to create a top for it and it quickly became one of my favorite projects!  It is perfect in this space because it gives my guests a place to work if needed, a place to sit down and relax a bit and, of course, it acts as a perfect night stand!

I added this Parisian style, outdoor bistro chair because I loved the vintage touch is brought into the space! Don't be afraid to use outdoor items indoors!  The great thing about this chair is that I can use it for extra seating outdoors when needed!

To bring in some warmth, coziness and a little comfort to this area, I selected a beautiful tassel throw pillow!  The fringe, tassels, fun pattern and great price were too good to pass up!

To style my side table, I added this darling house lantern and potted faux succulent.  I think every room needs a plant...and the ones that don't require any water make things easier!

I filled the lantern with some bottled water and snacks so that my guests have something easily accessible when needed!

Isn't it perfect?!  Also, the lantern is another item that I can use elsewhere when I do not have guests over.  I cannot wait to incorporate it into my Christmas decor this year!

The finishing touch to the desk area was this concrete-look table lamp.  Lamp lighting adds so much ambiance to a room and is great for late night reading!

I am so pleased with the way the room turned out! The best part is I was able to accomplish a whole new look on such a small budget!

Once my guest room was all complete, I couldn't help but want to update my guest bathroom.  I found everything I needed shopping the Better Homes & Gardens bath line at Walmart and found the best stuff to coordinate with my guest bedroom! A fun, tassel trim shower curtain, a few new towels and a handy storage bin gave this space a big change on a small budget!
