Friday Finds: {X-Back Bistro Chairs}

Hey, Friday!!  Who is ready for the weekend?  We are supposed to have gorgeous, spring-like weather in the Dallas area so I am looking forward to enjoying that! Hope you have fun plans!

One of the biggest questions I get on Instagram is: "Where are your dining chairs from?"
I bought mine several years ago at Kirklands. They were on clearance and I had to drive to a store an hour away to get them but it was well worth it!  I have not seen them at Kirklands since then but I have rounded up some similar ones for today's Friday Finds!!  Number 1 looks exactly like the ones that I have! Keep in mind, these are all sold in sets, so the price is for 2 chairs!  As always, each product is linked below, just click on the corresponding number and description!

Looks at all these great chairs I found...so many options!

Spring Decor: {Bringing the Outdoors In}

I am so excited for spring! We are finally getting a dose of warmer temperatures here in Texas!  I am hoping we are done with winter and can move onto warmer days, sunny skies, blooming plants and lots of patio time!

Over the last few weeks, when I was stuck at home due to ice, I had a lot of time to decorate for the warmer season ahead!  I love using greenery and natural elements throughout my home to add interest to the neutral color scheme.  I do not have a green thumb, so I opted for a lot of faux ferns, rustic wood pieces and greenery sprigs.  I love bringing the outdoors in and creating a natural, serene environment.

My home is full of vintage pieces mixed in with newer items.  I love the look and adding pops of green through the plants was a good way to balance the vintage/industrial look in our entryway!

In our dining room, I added some faux fern sprigs to my bottle collection.  I love the pop of color the bright green adds!

In our living room, I used a potted fern (faux) to bring in a touch of color to this space!  The branch adds some nice texture to finish off the look.

I plan on tackling the patio and front porch within the next few weeks! What about you?  Have you decorated for spring yet?

Friday Finds: {Dining Chairs under $100}

Happy Friday!  Can someone please tell me where January went?  This month has totally flown by!  I hope the first month of the new year has been a good one for you!

Today I am sharing some great dining chair options with you!  These chairs are all sold in sets, but if you do the math, each chair comes out to be $100 or less (much less in some cases)!

I get asked about the source for my dining room chairs often.  I actually found them at Kirkland's several years ago on clearance.  After driving to several stores, I found four of them which was not an easy task! I paired mine with a antique harvest table and really love the look!

Below you will see some options for similar chairs, along with a few other fun styles!  As noted below, next to the links, some of the chairs are available in additional color choices!

Our Home {Touches of Fall}

With it still being really hot in the Dallas area, I haven't gotten into fall mode just yet.  As much as I want to break out the pumpkins and pine cones, I have settled with a few fall touches here and there.  This year I am keeping things simple using natural elements and neutral colors.  Here are a few things I have done so far...

Started off with an "almost fall" chalkboard quote....

I added a galvanized pitcher and some wheat to my Homegoods lantern.  I love the simplicity of it!  I love using candles to create ambiance!

 The natural elements flow nicely with the decor in the entryway.

The wicker baskets and different types of wood add some texture and interest to the entryway.  I will add a few fall items to this vignette later on, but for now I am loving the simple look.

A simple addition of some pine cone adorned branches into the dining room tablescape adds a touch of fall into this space and will also be perfect in the winter months.

Over the next few weeks, I will be doing some more fall decorating, including our fall mantle, so check back soon.  Hopefully the weather will cool down so it feels like fall!
Have a great week!

Break the Bank vs. Cheapskate {Leather Barstools}

Long time, no chat!  I took the summer off from blogging but have enjoyed keeping up with everyone via Instagram!  I hope you had a great summer!  We enjoyed ours, but it always goes so fast!  Regardless, my girls are back in school and I am excited to get back to work!

So...let me jump right in and show you some fun finds I came across while sourcing bar stools for a client.  She liked the leather look and she knew she wanted to keep things budget friendly.  Easy enough....here is what I came up with:

Break the Bank:
Link:  Crate and Barrel Lowe Barstool
$299

Cheapskate:
Link: Kirkland's Faux Leather Barstool
$149.99

Another style we considered:

Break the Bank:
Link: Pottery Barn Manchester Barstool
$399

Cheapskate:
Link: Kirkland's Everitt Leather Barstool
$129.99
I just love that Kirkland's has some affordable, yet stylish, options! I think my favorite is the Everitt...I am a sucker for the nailhead trim!

Pretty Things {Wood Bead Chandelier}

One of the most talked about items in my home is my dining room chandelier.  Unfortunately, it has been discontinued, but I have seen it pop up on One Kings Lane a time or two!  I knew when I started to select lighting that I wanted a wood bead chandelier.  Here is what we ended up with.....

Since the one I have is no longer available, I did some research and found some similar options!  I actually really love all of these....while they are all a little different, they give the same overall feel!
