Getting Organized For A New Year: {Sponsored by Better Homes & Gardens at Walmart}

As a Better Homes & Gardens Stylemaker, I am honored to work with their amazing brand sharing their stylish and affordable line of home products available at Walmart! As always, any product reviews or opinions are honest feedback from my personal experience.  This post contains affiliate links to Walmart, which means the brand rewards me with a small commission for any sale resulting from a link click through from my blog.  I am excited to share my January project with you today!

A brand new year means new hopes, new dreams, new projects...I could go on and on.  My resolution this year is to focus on each day and make the most of it.  2020 taught me a lot of things and the main thing is that you never know what the future holds.  I want to live in the moment more and make the most of my time each day doing things that bring joy! To kick of the new year, I have been tackling some home projects.  No huge projects, but little things that I had been putting off for awhile for no good reason! It always feel good to get my house in order after the holidays!

To start off the new year, I did a quick laundry room refresh!  This room is small and doesn't have a ton of storage space.  My long tern plan is to add cabinets or more shelves, but for now I added a few new finds to get it organized and refreshed!

A few new finds from the Better Homes & Gardens line at Walmart did the trick!

I corralled my cleaning products in this adorable, metal caddy.  Not only does it look adorable, I love that I can grab it and take it all over the house while I clean!

I also couldn't resist the matching canisters.  I use them to store my detergent pods and dryer sheets for easy access.

Lined, metal baskets add extra storage for items like paper towels, light bulbs, additional cleaning supplies and so on.  These come in a set of 2 and are available in 2 sizes!  Due to the depth of my shelves, I used them long ways, but the front also has a metal chalkboard label that is a fun touch!

I also grabbed a pack of non-slip hangers.  I will definitely be getting more of these!  I air dry most of my tops so these will get a ton of use!

Since my laundry room is so small, I utilize the back wall for a storage space.  This compact ironing board from the Better Homes & Gardens line at Walmart is easy to store, out of the way.  The tote hamper comes in handy to transport laundry up and down stairs!  I also use this wall hook rack to hang clothes to dry.  This hanging hook rack is also used to hang clothes to dry.  I try to make the most out of such a small room!

One other addition was this stainless steel, oval trash can.  It is great to have handy on the way in and out of the garage and also for cleaning out the lint trap in the dryer.  I love the sturdy construction and that is has the foot pedal to open the lid when my hands are full!

Moving onto the kitchen....

Last year I did a huge pantry reorganization and absolutely loved the way it turned out.  The baskets and containers I added have been perfect for our space!

I highly recommend these food containers. They keep food super fresh and keep the pantry very organized!

Listen to me when I say if there is one thing you buy from my recommendations, let it be these baskets!  I love them so much, I bought more and have been adding them to all spaces that need organization.  The fact that they come in multiple sizes and are stackable makes them perfect for any space!

I promise you will not be disappointed!

With the help of the small baskets, I tackled our medicine cabinet. Here is the before...

And the after...much better:

Another tip, use these adjustable drawer dividers to keep things organized in your drawers.  It is amazing how nice and tidy my drawers stay with the help of these!

Moving onto the bathroom....

I spy the same baskets of above!  I am telling you, these are the best to keep all your closets and cabinets in order!

I also used some other finds to make the most of this bathroom closet.  All items are linked below.

If you need some additional storage in the bedroom, these under the bed, rolling storage bins are amazing!  These are great for extra bedding, towels, pillows, blankets, out of season clothing, toys, stuffed animals and so on....the possibilities are endless.  Another plus, there is a plastic cover with zipper closure to keep the contents clean! These are very affordable and are linked below.

The last project I completed was to update my daughter's bathroom.  All she really needed was a shower caddy, but somehow that turned into a new shower curtain and rug!

We have owned several shower caddies, but none compared to this one.  I love the individual baskets and how everything fits perfectly!

This blush shower curtain and cute ombre bath bath were so reasonably priced, it was an inexpensive way to update the room on a very small budget.  I love the texture that both add to this small bathroom!  The Better Homes & Gardens line has a great selection of bed and bath products!

I hope this post helps motivate you to work on any projects you've been wanting to complete.  I look forward to sharing more in the coming months. I am wishing everyone an amazing 2021 and hope the new year brings you lots of blessings!  I appreciate you being here!
