Fall Flashback: {Snapshots from our home last fall}

Good morning!  Since I am still not giving in to pumpkins and wheat bundles just yet, I thought it would be fun to share a few "flashback" pictures of our home last fall.  Don't get me wrong, I am so ready to adorn our home with little white pumpkins, my favorite, but I am holding out for a little longer!

Last year, I decided to add small touches of fall to each room.  As mentioned above, I am a sucker for white pumpkins so they were sprinkled throughout our home.  I also stuck with the natural theme and just added a few new things to what I already had.  Pinecones are always a fall staple around here and are great to use throughout the winter months! I loved our home last fall, it felt cozy and warm so I plan on repeating the natural "theme" this year.

This vintage inspired crate from HomeGoods was the perfect find for unused space in our kitchen. I love decorating it for each season! This vignette was literally thrown together using several things I already had and then I added the real, white pumpkins to finish the look.  It is totally normal to put a seagrass pumpkin in a cake stand...I decided!

I love the look it added to the space and created a festive vignette that is visible from the dining room, too!

I added a few pumpkins and cinnamon sticks to this area.  It is amazing what a difference a few items can make.

Little white pumpkins also made an appearance on our breakfast nook shelves...

Our breakfast nook all ready for fall...

Our chalkboard is changed up often...it is a great way to add a personal touch to any space.  I love the rustic, barn-wood frame on this one I got at HomeGoods!

More small pumpkins added a pop of orange to our breakfast bar...there is no such thing as too many pumpkins!

I cannot wait to add touches of fall to our mantle. It will be the first project for me this year.  I keep a natural theme year around using driftwood pieces, candles, branches and fern sprigs.  I love these jars from HomeGoods...the wire adds a nice texture and they are great to keep up all year!  I am thinking cotton stems would be a great addition for fall!

Hope you enjoyed the fall flashback!  I am so excited to decorate this year and cannot wait to share our fall home tour with you!  Now if the weather would just cool down, we would be all set!

Monday Inspiration

School started today for my girls and this mom wasn't quite ready.  I think as your kids get older, time seems to go by so much faster!  This year I have a senior (gasp) and a 2nd grader and I need time to slow down...way down!!  If you have school aged kiddos, I hope they have a great year!  Are you in the boo-hoo or woo-hoo category this year?  I am in the boo-hoo for sure!

Speaking of time going by way too fast, fall is approaching and I am thrilled about that!  I am not quite ready to break out the pumpkins and fall foliage just yet (since it is still very hot in Texas), but it is never too early to get inspired!

My fall kitchen tour and a GIVEAWAY...post sponsored by Tuesday Morning!

Happy Friday!!

I am guest posting over on the Tuesday Morning Blog today and am excited to share my fall kitchen tour with you!  Here is a sneak peek, but make sure and check out their blog for additional pictures!  When you are done over there...head on back over here for a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to their store!

Thank you, Tuesday Morning, for sponsoring this giveaway!

Now check out some of my great Tuesday Morning finds that helped bring some fall touches to my kitchen!

This seagrass pumpkin was the perfect addition to my fall vignette at just $9.99! I also added some faux, boxed plants, only $4.99,  and a small topiary for $6.99, to finish off the space!  I will be using all the faux plants throughout the year!

I decided to go with a simple and natural theme this year. I love how this area flows with my dining room decor.

This cute glass mason jar was a Tuesday Morning find from a few years ago but I saw them the other day while shopping!  I added some tiny pumpkin vase filler for a simple touch of fall!

I picked up this numbered cream pitcher for $5.99 at Tuesday morning last week and added some cinnamon sticks that I had from last year's decor.   A few pumpkins were added to the mix and done...super easy and looks great!

I love how simple touches can make a big impact!

These adorable dip bowls were just $3.99/each from Tuesday Morning and are perfect to use as treat bowls filled with candy corn at a place setting!

{Check out the Tuesday Morning Blog for additional pictures of my festive, fall table!}

A simple wooden bucket made a perfect planter for my fern plant.  At just $7.99, it can be used all year styled with seasonal decor!  I added a few pumpkins to complete the look!

I love this DIY banner that was so simple to make!  Tuesday Morning sold the blank banner cut outs and I just used a chalk marker for the wording. At just $1.99, this is a inexpensive way to make a huge impact!  I also love that I can reuse the letters to create additional banners for different occasions!

My favorite pitcher got a little update using a dried wheat bundle.  The pitcher was a Tuesday Morning find from a few months ago, but they still have it in their stores.  For under $20, it is a great addition to my kitchen nook shelves!

Another great find were these glass candle holders I used in my simple fall centerpiece!  Priced at just $9.99, they are a great buy and can be used all year long!  Just switch up the filler to fit the season.  I added some cinnamon sticks and pinecones that I found a Tuesday Morning for $2.99/bag.  I love that they are scented, it adds to the ambiance of the room!

 Our breakfast nook is all ready for guests....

And one of my favorite finds from Tuesday Morning were these adorable "forest" animal mugs!  For $2.99/each, they add a whimsical touch to our coffee bar!  Just for fun, we changed up the coffee bar and made it a hot chocolate bar...the perfect treat for the kids or when you are entertaining guests!  I used the cream pitcher, numbered dip bowls and fun striped straws to create a fun display! I love buying items that are versatile and have many uses!
